CERT is a training program that prepares you to help your family, and your neighborhood in the event of a disaster. During an incident, emergency personnel may not be able to reach everyone right away. By getting trained in CERT, you will have the skills to help emergency responders save lives and protect property.

As a member of a CERT team when authorized you can respond to disasters, participate in drills and exercises, and take additional training. CERT members are a known and trusted resource to the emergency responders and the community.

ENCERT primarily serves the counties in eastern Nebraska of Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington. The team has trained since 1999 almost 1300 citizens with a response team of 200. ENCERT has deployed throughout the region assisting community during disasters. They also support many regularly planned civic functions.
